From 1970 to the present, what is now known as the Law Offices of Forster & Garbus, has exclusively practiced collection law.  Our founder Ronald Forster is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1969.  He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and Commercial Lawyers Conference.  He is also a past president of the Consumer Credit Association.  He has lectured on collections for the State Bar Association, and has authored a chapter dealing with collections for the New York State Bar Association.

In 1975 Mark A. Garbus, Esq. joined with Ronald Forster, to form the partnership   Forster & Garbus.  Mr. Garbus graduated from St. John’s Law School in 1968.  Prior to his joining with Mr. Forster, Mr. Garbus had spent the previous seven years as the managing attorney for another New York law firm exclusively devoted to collections.  Mr. Garbus, like Mr. Forster, has lectured on collections and on the FDCPA for the New York State Bar Association and Nassau Academy of Law.  He was the past president of the Commercial Lawyers Conference.

Forster & Garbus was one of the first New York law firms to adopt a totally automated legal collection system.  Our system, supported by our in house programmers and IT Staff, allows us the versatility to adapt to our clients needs efficiently and accurately.
